Concord Kitchen Renovation

Wow! This was one of our favorite kitchen renovations of the year....because it was truly the BIGGEST transformation! And we had so much fun with this one! We first met with the homeowners and they shared about how they felt so closed in and separated from the rest of the house in their existing kitchen. They dreamed of a big open kitchen with a big island to seat their children. She loves to cook and she wanted lots of space to do it!

As part of our design-build firm services, our designer accompanied them to the slab yard to select the slabs of granite they wanted for their kitchen. They chose Shadow Storm as their granite, which is a fabulous white with gorgeous swooshes of light and dark grays. For the backsplash, they selected a darker gray stacked stone to give a fun dimensional element that would compliment the granite. A shaker style white cabinet was chosen. This project involved relocating a laundry closet that was in the existing kitchen, removing two walls, installing two double LVL beam headers, and relocating the appliances. We installed all new cabinets, all new appliances, and all new lighting. Our team also had to patch and refinish all of the hardwood floors to make a smooth finish after the walls were taken down. Our designer helped these clients decide on a perfect wall color to compliment the kitchen, while not competing and taking away from all of the materials that were selected. Sherwin Williams Repose Gray was chosen for the walls. Enjoy LOTS of images from before...and then the after shots to show off this gorgeous new kitchen!! We know these clients are already loving their dream kitchen and we are so grateful they invited us into their home to bring this dream to reality!

BEFORE.....The entry way was cut off from the kitchen by two walls:

The existing laundry room was a the closet in the kitchen. The laundry was relocated to the basement during our renovation.

A small doorway was the only opening between the kitchen and the living room.

A very closed in, U-shaped kitchen was what these clients were ready to get rid of!

First step was DEMO!!

And now....the FINISHED PRODUCT!!

Refrigerator and cabinets installed where the old laundry was located.

We hope you love the finished product of this renovation as much we do!! We would love to discuss your Concord Kitchen Renovation, or any Charlotte area renovations! Give us a call soon so we can chat! Feel free to leave us some love in the comments and tell us what your favorite part is!
